Jewellery as installations…

I`ve been working on turning my jewellery into installations and creating miniature spaces. Here is a little look, i`ll post more pictures another day….

The floating detail is peacock feathers…

I think they look like floating flowers!

Hampshire inspiration..

I have been so excited at the thought of my long weekend in Hampshire (i loved Howard`s Way as a child!) and have been dreaming of antiques, cream teas and quaint country villages!

We arrived in the quaint village of Lymington as it was getting dark and thought we`d discovered a hidden away harbour with a lovely pub for our tea….

Not so hidden away after a proper look around the quaint village of Lymington the next day.

It rained a lot, but everything still looked beautiful…

I want to live here!….

or here….

Oyster cottage had the view below….

or in a cottage with this miniature wonky doorway…

The best thing about Hampshire was it made me feel so relaxed it was like we were abroad, i was excited to discover ponies wandering around at the side of the roads…..

say cheese……

there were vine yards and farm shops on the road side, which made me feel i could be in New Zealand or France…. amazing pubs with real fires and homemade food, cream teas, antique shops and harbours everywhere routed me back in the englishness of it all!

New brooches for spring and Cecelia bracelet…

Spring is peering round the corner…yippeee! so to celebrate two new brooches are in the shop now! Scarlet brooch with scarlet grossgrain ribbon, guinea foul feathers and laser cut motif painted white and Stripey ribbon brooch with stripey ribbon, guinea foul feathers and laser cut motif painted white.

Cecelia bracelet made from laser cut walnut painted duck egg blue with natural cord, the perfect touch to any spring outfit. Cecelia is available to buy now! I`ll be putting a scarlet and sea blue Cecelia in the shop soon..

It fits snugly on the wrist…if you want it made to the size of your wrist just e-mail and i`d be happy to do that for no extra cost.

Inspiring places…

Recently I had a weekend in York and a day out in Chester, both places are full of quaint houses and churches….

I have been creating miniature environments, using laser cut walnut, ribbon and fabric, they are odd and beautiful at the same time, looking like they might wobble over and so I can`t help thinking I have taken inspiration from looking at these buildings. I`ll blog about them when they`re finished…
